Whilst there is ongoing uncertainty surrounding Robinio Vaz’s (18) international future, amid advances from the Senegal national team, his future at club level looks a lot clearer. As per a report from RMC Sport, the centre-forward is set to sign a contract extension with his formative club.
Vaz has made a breakthrough at Olympique de Marseille this season. The striker has made 13 appearances in all competitions, including two in the UEFA Champions League. In Ligue 1, he has four goals and two assists in 11 games.
Marseille are looking to commit Vaz, whose current deal expires in 2028, to a new long-term deal. And RMC Sport now understands that an agreement is close. Talks with the striker’s entourage have been advancing well, and the signing of the new deal could come before the end of the calendar year.
Such is OM’s determination to retain the player that the club refused two offers to sell Vaz, which could have made him the most expensive player to be sold from the club’s academy.
