Rodri reveals which Barcelona star has surprised him most | OneFootball

Barcelona star Rodri has this week named Raphinha as the Blaugrana player who has surprised him most with his talents since his arrival at the club.

Frontman Raphinha is for his part of course fresh off nothing short of a spectacular start to the new campaign.

Afforded both the captain’s armband and a new role as Hansi Flick’s attacking spearhead, the Brazilian has responded with 17 direct goal contributions in just eight appearances.

And safe to say, such brilliance has not gone at all overlooked on the part of one of the high-profile additions to Barca’s first-team ranks this past summer.

Speaking during an interview with COPE this week, the aforementioned Rodri was asked which new teammate has surprised him to the greatest degree since swapping The Etihad for the Camp Nou.

And the 30-year-old, as cited by journalist Fabrizio Romano, went on to explain:

“Raphinha is the player who surprised me the most. I told Raphinha: you were a winger at Leeds! Now you like to play as a No. 9, right? He told me: I didn’t like it at the beginning, but now I love it.”
