Fulham manager Marco Silva believes it will not be long before Rodrigo Muniz (24) returns to full sharpness as the striker continues his recovery from injury.
The Brazilian made his first appearance since September during Fulham’s 3–0 win over Wolves last weekend, coming off the bench for the final 20 minutes after recovering from a hamstring issue. It marked a welcome return for the 24-year-old, who scored 11 goals last season but has not found the net since the opening day of the current campaign.
“Probably if he starts, he is not at his best physical level to play 90 minutes, but he can play 60 or 70,” Silva told reporters ahead of Fulham’s next Premier League fixture. “It has been a good week for him. He’s getting better every day.”
Silva stressed that consistent match involvement will be key to restoring Muniz’s sharpness after a seven-week layoff, but expressed optimism that the forward is close to regaining full match fitness.
The Fulham boss also provided an update on Antonee Robinson, who remains sidelined with a knee problem. Silva hopes the American full-back could return shortly after the international break, offering another boost to a squad that appears to be gathering strength once again.
