Roger Ricort assesses Nice’s window after 17-year return, says squad looks solid | OneFootball

Nice director of sport Roger Ricort has taken stock of the club’s summer business, saying the squad still looks solid.

Nice host Le Mans on Saturday at 20:45, after which Ricort plans a three-day break in the mountains to clear his head and see marmots. According to L'Équipe, the 67-year-old came out of retirement this summer and succeeded Florian Maurice.

Across the window there were seven arrivals and 17 departures, with Nice prioritising character over pure technical traits.

Ricort previously held the role from 2005 to 2009.

On Thursday he spent close to an hour in his office, between a photo of the 1987-1988 team and an image of the Pop Sud tifo, explaining how he navigated the window.
