Rollheiser out, Arthur to start as Santos face Remo | OneFootball

Santos have made a late change for Saturday 19’s trip to Remo, with Rollheiser unavailable and Arthur handed his first start.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the Argentine misses out due to a personal issue, so Cuca brings the midfielder into the XI.

Arthur had come off the bench in the past four matches and now starts at Mangueirão in Belém in the 28th round at 18:30 Brasília time.

Neymar and Álvaro Barreal remain in the treatment room. Goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão felt renewed pain in his left shoulder, has returned to Santos for assessment and is set to bring forward surgery planned for the end of the season.

Willian Arão is also out after feeling pain in his internal oblique muscle and has gone back to the Baixada Santista for treatment at the CT Rei Pelé. Everton Cebolinha is suspended after his third yellow card, while Philippe Coutinho is still building fitness and will not debut yet.

Santos are set to line up with Diógenes in goal, Rodinei, Lucas Veríssimo, Luan Peres and Gonzalo Escobar in defence, Christian Oliva, Gustavo Henrique, Arthur and Gabriel Bontempo in midfield, with Rony and Gabriel Barbosa up front.

This is Santos’s first league outing since their Copa Sudamericana quarter-final exit to Atlético-MG on Wednesday 16, a 4-2 defeat in normal time followed by a 3-1 loss on penalties. They sit 10th on 35 points from 26 games and are unbeaten in five, with four wins and one draw.
