Rollheiser the standout as Santos draw 1-1 at Palmeiras | OneFootball

Rollheiser starred as Santos drew 1-1 with Palmeiras at Allianz Parque on Saturday night in the Brasileirão, scoring and driving their best moments.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the midfielder was the standout with a 7.5 rating, and he also slipped a precise pass that gave Barreal a chance to score.

Goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão produced a stunning save to deny John Arias one on one, though he was urged to claim crosses rather than punch. Igor Vinicius lost only one duel to Arias and almost netted a screamer. Lucas Veríssimo marshalled the back line well.

Luan Peres switched off for the goal. Escobar's flank was breached again, although he was not alone at fault. João Schmidt had one worrying turnover but battled effectively in midfield, while Christian Oliva impressed in the press until tiring.

Willian Arão struggled after coming on and did not bring security to the defence. Gabriel Bontempo showed quality on the ball but must compete more. Zé Rafael and Mateus Xavier played too little to be graded.

Barreal lost the ball in the move for Palmeiras' goal and also missed a clear opening to make it 2-0. Moisés barely had a touch. Gabriel Barbosa combined in build-up and had a good first-half chance, while Rony was similarly peripheral.

Cuca's side stifled Palmeiras before the interval and created enough to win. After the break he sought to protect the result with his changes, and the team were rescued by VAR.
