Roma at work to extend Gourna-Douath’s loan

Roma appear to be convinced of Lucas Gourna-Douath following his move on loan from Salzburg in January.

The French midfielder has only featured so far in 5 games for Roma, but his performances have earned him the management’s praise.

As revealed by today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, Roma have decided to extend the player’s loan.

The obligation to buy in his contract was supposed to be triggered with the achievement of 50% of his appearances. This, however, will not happen.

Thus, Roma are already at work to request the extension of his loan from Salzburg with the hope of lowering the Austrian side’s pricetag of 20 million.

The newspaper concludes by stating that Ranieri believes in Gourna-Douath and wants to make him a part of Roma’s future.
