Roma has ramped up its work ahead of the upcoming transfer window, focusing not only on necessary reinforcements in attack and midfield, but also on the flanks.

The management’s primary objective is to ensure Gian Piero Gasperini has a complete and competitive squad capable of challenging for top-seeded positions until the very end.

The interest stems from the need to expand the rotation in a key role in Gasperini’s system, and with this in mind, the priority has also shifted to the search for a new winger.

According to TuttomercatoWeb, the Giallorossi coach has identified Pisa’s Idrissa Touré as a good candidate to enhance his midfield portfolio.

The need for a new addition is dictated by several issues: Angeliño’s long absence due to injury and the difficulties encountered thus far by other players in the position, such as Tsimikas and Rensch, whose performances have not fully met the coaching staff’s expectations.

Touré, for his part, is coming off a strong start to the season with Pisa.

Born in 1998, he is proving to be a valuable player in the top flight, having played a key role in the Tuscan team’s promotion.

His performances so far have been positive: the midfielder has made 11 appearances in the league and Coppa Italia, and also scored a decisive goal in the match against Cremonese.
