Tommaso Baldanzi is expected to remain at Genoa under Daniele De Rossi, the same coach who pushed for him to join Roma.
During the winter transfer window, the Giallorossi loaned the 2003-born player to Genoa with an option to buy for €10 million.
The former Empoli player missed eight games due to injury but still impressed DDR. Genoa wants to meet their manager’s demands and aim to lower the fee set for Baldanzi’s permanent move.
Baldanzi has played 401 minutes for Genoa, adding two assists in the second half of the season. A few injuries have weakened him, but this hasn’t dampened his quality, which has convinced De Rossi and the club to make an investment to sign him permanently.
As reported by Repubblica, Roma, after finalizing the sale of Sangaré to Elche (€4.5 million), is working with Genoa to complete Baldanzi’s sale for a fee close to €8 million. This represents a discount on the €10 million option to buy.
