There’s confidence in the Marseille-Roma deal, which will bring Mason Greenwood to the capital.
Tony D’Amico is working to deliver to Gasperini the player the coach believes is the right profile to make a qualitative leap.
The Giallorossi have already reached an agreement with the 2001-born player, based on a contract worth €4.5 million net per year plus bonuses.
Now the Roman club must reach an agreement with OM, which started with a valuation of €55 million (40% of which will go to United).
As Corriere della Sera reports, however, Roma and Marseille have recently had positive discussions, and the French club’s asking price has been lowered to €50 million.
The two clubs have been discussing the Greenwood deal for days, but an official offer has yet to be made to the French club.
Roma will present an official offer to Marseille in the coming days. The intention is to offer €40 million plus bonuses.
At €45 million, plus bonuses, the deal can be closed. Roma must speed up to avoid the arrival of other clubs that have their eye on Greenwood.
Developments are expected in the coming days, also because Gasperini hopes to work with the player as early as July 13th, the day of the training camp at Trigoria.
