The season has just ended, but Torino is already hard at work planning the transfer market for next season.
Among the Granata’s priorities is the retention of Ferran Obrador, who arrived from Benfica and immediately became an irreplaceable asset on the left flank.
After an initial period of adaptation, the Real Madrid-trained Spaniard has played 13 consecutive matches, providing acceleration, precise crosses (three assists, the last against Juventus), and scoring a wonder goal against Cagliari from 25 meters. His offensive growth is evident, as is his potential for improvement defensively.
Torino is keen to sign Obrador, a 2004-born player from the Spanish Under-21 team, but faces two major obstacles: the reportedly high €9 million buyout fee and growing interest from other clubs.
Among these, Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma has already inquired with Benfica.
The Giallorossi are considering Obrador as a potential replacement for Wesley and could enter the deal if Torino decides not to opt out. Attention will be high in the coming weeks, with the Roman club ready to seize the opportunity to strengthen their left flank ahead of the Champions League.
