Roma insist on making a move for Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo this summer. But the Neroverdi management will not let him leave cheaply.

According to Sky Italia, Roma have increased their bid to sign Davide Frattesi this summer. The Giallorossi have reportedly put in a new offer of around €20 million and have also included Cristian Volpato in a deal that could see Sassuolo soften their demands.

But even now, Sassuolo are understandably finding it insufficient as they feel that the offer requires another €5 million. On Thursday evening, Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali talked about the prospect of selling Frattessi to Roma. He said:

“Frattesi is a player we consider important, we have given him a reasonable value. There is still distance. We also talked about the inclusion of some young boys. Roma has many. Let’s see what will happen.”

After learning the ABC of football in the Roma academy, the Italian moved to Sassuolo in 2017. Over the years, he has been to loan spells at various clubs in Italy, gradually learning his trades. And now, he seems ready to return to Rome. Mourinho desperately wants the player.
