Roma open talks with Lulli’s entourage to extend player’s deal | OneFootball

Emanuele Lulli has been one of the pleasant surprises of Roma’s start to the season.

The club was looking for a winger and found one at home. The 2007-born player immediately displayed his best qualities: a strong personality and a pace that is the envy of almost every player in the Italian league.

The Palestrina native was close to a loan move to Avellino in the summer, before Gasperini’s veto, to play in Serie B. The two clubs discussed the loan deal with an option to buy and a counter-purchase option in favor of Roma.

However, a contract extension would first be needed, given that the current deal expires in 2027. This agreement is now getting closer, but for different reasons: no longer to gain experience with a smaller club, but to take over the right flank of the Giallorossi team.

As Tuttosport reports, initial discussions have begun in the last few hours with his entourage, the same people assisting Pellegrini in reaching a new agreement and extending his footballing marriage with Roma. In the summer, discussions were underway regarding a possible loan move to Avellino, while today, discussions are focused on becoming an important player in Gasperini’s team.

This difference will also weigh heavily on the negotiations. The contract term and salary are still being discussed, but Roma’s intention is clear: to secure a homegrown talent.
