Gian Piero Gasperini’s dream striker is Mason Greenwood.
The English winger remains Roma’s top transfer target, as they are poised to come close to meeting Marseille’s asking price of around €55 million, including bonuses.
The Friedkins have earmarked around €100 million for a Champions League-caliber transfer: three or four high-profile signings in the positions desired by the Grugliasco-born coach.
The Roman club isn’t the only one interested in the English winger: Fenerbahçe and Atlético Madrid are also keeping an eye on them.
Two clubs have their eye on Greenwood and could accelerate, which is why Roma is about to send their first official offer to Marseille.
Another transfer market summit will soon be held between Friedkin, Gasperini, and D’Amico.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports, nothing will be left to chance and the team will be stepping up their game, as the manager would like to have new players available for the training camp scheduled for July 13th in Trigoria.
The negotiations for Greenwood will get underway this weekend: Roma are ready to offer €45 million, including bonuses, and add a percentage on the future sale to OM. Developments are awaited, and the Giallorossi remain confident.
