Roma have set their sights on Jayden Oosterwolde for defense.

The limited defensive space that forced Gian Piero Gasperini to field Zeki Celik, Daniele Ghilardi, and Jan Ziolkowski against Lecce has the manager worried.

Roma also like the Dutchman’s versatility, as he could even be deployed as a wingback in the coach’s starting eleven.

Fenerbahce, however, is aiming high to let him leave in January, given that he’s a regular starter in Domenico Tedesco’s squad.

As reported by Matteo Moretto, Roma has begun discussions with the Turkish club to determine the price they’re talking about, but the valuation has been deemed excessive.

It remains to be seen whether the Giallorossi intend to continue along this path or evaluate other options in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Ziolkowski put in a great performance against Lecce, and it’s not out of the question that this could change the situation.
