The transfer market summit held yesterday afternoon at Trigoria took place in a calm and constructive atmosphere.

Coach Gian Piero Gasperini, Vice President Ryan Friedkin, and Senior Advisor Claudio Ranieri were present, with Frederic Massara absent due to his busy schedule in Milan to accelerate negotiations for Raspadori.

The meeting focused on strengthening the squad, which is achieving good results but requires further transfer market intervention.

Gasperini was reassured of the Friedkin family’s willingness to continue investing in the club and strengthen the squad despite Roma’s financial situation.

In addition to discussing necessary reinforcements, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports, the relationship with Massara was also discussed, with Ranieri acting as a mediator between the sporting director and the coach, as well as facilitating contact with some players.

Gasperini’s requests include four new additions: Giacomo Raspadori, Joshua Zirkzee, a winger, and a midfielder. The coach also emphasized that further defensive reinforcements would be welcome, but would be his last priority.

The meeting thus laid the foundation for a targeted winter transfer window, aimed at strengthening the team ahead of the second half of the season.

Time is running out, and now it’s up to the sporting director to accelerate the transfer window to bring back Gasperini’s smile after his decision not to speak to the media following the victory against Lecce.
