Roma continues to work to provide Gian Piero Gasperini with the attacking winger he desires.

After the demise of the Mason Greenwood deal, Tony D’Amico has intensified his contacts on various fronts, with Alejandro Garnacho becoming one of the most likely names on the table in recent hours.

According to Corriere della Sera, Roma’s interest in the Argentine is solid, although negotiations remain complex. In initial discussions with Chelsea, D’Amico reportedly proposed a loan deal with no obligation to buy, a deal the English club, at least for now, does not intend to consider.

The Blues, who invested €45 million plus bonuses to secure the Argentine talent a year ago, are aiming for a permanent transfer to recoup their investment. The possibility of a loan move could only become a topic again in the final part of the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, Roma continues to monitor other attacking wingers. Dan Ndoye, currently at Nottingham Forest after his time at Bologna, is a highly regarded prospect but, at the moment, isn’t the management’s top priority, as they intend to evaluate further opportunities before making a move.
