Fenerbahçe’s management has upped their offer in a bid to convince Nigerian striker Ademola Lookman. The Turkish club is now proposing a transfer valued at €40 million, along with an annual net salary of €8.5 million plus seasonal bonuses.
The future of the 28-year-old, currently at Atalanta, has seen a significant acceleration in recent hours, as Fenerbahçe and Atlético Madrid are locked in a direct race to finalize the deal quickly.
According to top journalist Fabrizio Romano, Fenerbahçe has reached an agreement with Atalanta on the transfer fee. However, there is still a disagreement over the payment terms and bank guarantees, which is currently holding up the finalization of the deal.
Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid has managed to agree with Atalanta not only on the transfer amount but also on the payment conditions. All that remains is for Lookman to make his final decision on the contract offer from the Spanish club.
Italian journalist Matteo Moretto also confirms that Atalanta still considers the bank guarantees provided by Fenerbahçe to be insufficient, making the coming hours crucial for the outcome of this transfer.Lookman’s future now hangs between Turkey’s Süper Lig and Spain’s La Liga, as everyone awaits the player’s decisive choice.
