Santos produced a competitive display yet were held 1-1 by São Paulo at Vila Belmiro in the second round of the Brasileirão 2026. According to Diario Do Peixe, Rony was the standout for his relentless work.
Zé Rafael took his chance to score for Santos, while São Paulo’s goal came from a move where Calleri beat João Basso in the air.
Gabriel Brazão made a strong first-half save and was blameless for the goal, rated six. In defence, Adonis Frías risked a red for a foul on Calleri but started the move for the Santos goal by trying his luck from range, also six. Mayke was steadier than of late yet offered little going forward, five and a half.
João Basso lost that key aerial duel and received four, with Luan Peres on five and Escobar, involved in the concession, on four. Gabriel Menino brought intensity in midfield, six, while João Schmidt threatened from a set piece and earned five and a half. Zé Rafael’s opportunism brought his goal and six and a half.
Miguelito added drive and was close to winning a penalty, six. Rony battled for everything, seven, while Gabriel Barbosa sought the ball and went close after the break, five and a half.
Barreal was quiet on five, and Rollheiser lost possession for a dangerous counter then threatened with a free-kick, four and a half. Coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda was given five and a half, and Gabriel Bontempo and Lautaro Díaz had short cameos without a grade.
