Rooney surprisingly picks Arsenal star as one of the top-three best players

Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League table, which shows that they have some of the best players in the competition in their squad. Their stars have performed consistently well, and their efforts have helped the team rise to the top. Under Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have become one of the strongest sides in recent seasons, and the manager will hope they continue to meet expectations as the campaign continues. Their defence has been particularly strong, yet football requires balance across the pitch, so their midfield and attack have also contributed with important displays.

Arsenal’s Form And Defensive Reliability

If anyone is asked which Arsenal player has been among the best this season, there is a strong chance they would choose one of the defenders. That area of the team has produced some of the most reliable and consistent performances. The stability and focus shown at the back have provided the platform for the team to operate with confidence. Rooney’s Top Three And His View On Gyokeres

Wayne Rooney recently gave his opinion and selected Viktor Gyokeres as one of the top three best players in England this season. His comments, as quoted by Football365, provide an interesting perspective. He said, “Top three, probably Semenyo, I think he is been brilliant for Bournemouth, carrying on his form from last season. I would also put Bryan Mbeumo in there. I think he is been really good for Manchester United, even after a difficult start to the season for the club. I think he is been really good. The third one, I would probably go with Gyokeres. Arsenal have been crying out for a new number nine for a few years now and he is come in. His work rate and his determination to hold up play, and he is obviously scoring a few goals as well so I would say that is my top three.”

Rooney’s assessment highlights the impact Gyokeres has made since joining Arsenal. His energy, determination and goal scoring have strengthened the team’s attacking options. While many would still argue that Arsenal’s defenders have been their most consistent performers, Gyokeres has clearly made a strong impression and added valuable qualities to the squad since he signed in the summer.
