Rubén Iranzo will spend the coming seasons with Real Zaragoza and has bid farewell to Valencia, the club he joined as a child.
The player said in a post that after 15 seasons he is leaving the club of his life, having realised the dream of debuting in Primera and playing at Mestalla. He added that the values he learned there will stay with him and that he is who he is thanks to Valencia.
His farewell video, shared on social media, spliced footage from across his Valencia career dating back more than 15 years and included thanks to team-mates, coaches and supporters.
Among his standout moments was his first goal in Burgos last season while wearing Valencia colours. In November 2024 he also helped his town after a DANA caused severe damage.
Although he never became a permanent first-team player, Iranzo regularly trained with the senior group and was often named in squads.
Messages of support arrived from current players Hugo Duro, Diego López, Javi Guerra, Copete and Tárrega, plus former team-mates Jaume Doménech, Eray Cömert, Gabriel Paulista, Fran Pérez and club great Ricardo Arias.
