Ruben Neves continues penalty scoring run for Al-Hilal | OneFootball

According to Goal.com, Ruben Neves has become Al-Hilal's reliable presence from the penalty spot. His latest conversion underlined a prolific start to the season.

In the opening round of the Roshn League, the Portugal midfielder scored twice from the spot against Al-Faisaly.

He then netted another in the 13th minute to open the scoring against Al-Raed on Monday, in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup round of 32. That took him to three goals in two matches this season, all penalties.

All of Al-Hilal's last three goals have come from penalties, each converted by Neves.

Since joining in summer 2023, he has taken 19 penalties for Al-Hilal, scoring 17 and missing two. Once primarily a midfield fulcrum, he now provides a decisive edge from the spot.
