Rumour in England says Morita could swap Sporting for… FC Porto

Less than two months before the end of his contract with Sporting, Hidemasa Morita could have the chance to move to… FC Porto. The news was reported this Thursday by the British outlet TEAMtalk, which claims that the board led by André Villas-Boas has “expressed interest” in signing the Japan international.

However, the Estádio do Dragão appears to be an unlikely destination for the 30-year-old player. For now, Leeds United are leading the race for his signature and are said to have already presented him with a formal contract offer, valid until June 2028, with an option clause to extend the deal by one more season, should both parties agree.
