Leicester City have rejected a bid for midfielder Louis Page, Russell Martin has confirmed amid interest from Manchester United.
LeicesterMercury.co.uk reports that the 18-year-old is also admired by Arsenal and Aston Villa, with United viewed as frontrunners, although no agreement has been reached despite suggestions it was close.
On Friday the City manager was asked about wider transfer talk around his squad, with Harry Souttar linked to Sheffield United and Wrexham. He said the club are relaxed, do not need to sell, and would only sanction exits if they suit all parties and allow for replacements.
Martin added that no club is entirely immune from selling, barring perhaps the very biggest in the Premier League. He said every player has a price but current proposals are well short of Leicester’s valuations, and bids for other players have also been turned down.
Focusing on Page, he said there has been chatter all summer from various clubs and that only one formal offer arrived.
