Wout Faes and Woyo Coulibaly could be back in the Leicester City squad soon, but Russell Martin says neither will be involved against Stockport County today.

"Wout's trained and so has Woyo. I think it's probably a bit early to put them back in the squad because they had four or five days of real uncertainty last week. They're back training properly and they've trained really well." He told LeicestershireLive.

The pair looked set to leave towards the end of the window after sliding out of Martin's plans, with competition in both positions and summer interest.

Faes had a bid rejected by an unnamed club in mid-August, then a deadline-day switch to West Ham United fell through. In Italy, reports suggested Coulibaly’s late loan to Serie A side Genoa also collapsed, so he remained at Leicester.

Martin has not used Faes in the opening seven matches in all competitions. Coulibaly started the Carabao Cup defeat to Ipswich Town at the end of August.

Last week Martin hinted Faes could still depart with some windows open abroad, but the situation now appears to be moving towards both staying at the King Power Stadium. "I think both can definitely play for us very, very soon."
