On-loan Corinthians midfielder Ryan Gustavo completed all 39 passes as Fortaleza beat Goiás 4-1 at Castelão on Saturday in the seventh round of Série B.
The 22-year-old started and delivered a composed display, also winning six duels, making three tackles and two recoveries, before Lucas Sasha replaced him 25 minutes into the second half. According to Meu Timao, his loan formed part of the agreement that brought fellow midfielder Matheus Pereira to Corinthians, who are covering Ryan’s wages during the spell.
A youth product at Parque São Jorge, he stepped up to the senior squad after winning the 2024 Copinha. He made 59 appearances for Corinthians, 22 as a starter, scoring once with two assists, featuring in the 2025 Paulista and Copa do Brasil triumphs without nailing down a regular place.
Ryan joined Fortaleza on loan at the start of this season until December 2026, with an option to buy, the fee undisclosed. He remains contracted to Corinthians until December 2028.
Since arriving, he has earned a starting berth under Thiago Carpini despite a left thigh muscle strain that sidelined him for about 45 days between February and March. He has played 14 times with one assist and lifted the 2026 Campeonato Cearense, with Fortaleza leading Série B on 14 points from seven matches.
Corinthians’ midfield options include Raniele, André Luiz, André Carrillo, Allan, Breno Bidon, Matheus Pereira, Charles and Alex Santana.
