Valencia footballer Ryunosuke Sato has been named in Japan’s senior squad by Harime Moriyasu for upcoming matches against Uruguay, Venezuela and Ecuador.

AS reports that Sato has regained his place after being left out of the final squad for the World Cup in Mexico, Canada and the United States held last summer.

Sato has five senior caps. He was a regular for Japan at youth level and is considered one of his country’s brightest prospects.

He will leave after Valencia’s game against Real Sociedad on Sunday and return once all international commitments are complete.

This international window will keep players away for more than two weeks.
