Motherwell beat Hibernian 2-1 at Easter Road as Ibrahim Said's late winner sealed an opening-day Scottish Premiership victory.

In the 40th minute, Lukas Fadinger converted a penalty after a foul on Oscar Priestman to put the visitors ahead.

Hibs pushed before the interval, and Alex Paulsen saved smartly from Nathan Lowe (53.).

Martin Boyle equalised from the spot (56.) after he was fouled by Priestman.

Said then finished low from Dylan Williams' breakaway pass to settle it (85.).

The Hibees tallied 19 attempts and won nine corners as they pressed for a second. Motherwell were clinical with two goals from nine attempts and dug in with 32 clearances.

Next, Hibs host Shkëndija in the UEFA Conference League. Motherwell visit HJK in the same competition.
