According to a report from Actu Saint-Étienne, confirmed by local Rhône-based outlet Le Progrès, Saint-Étienne defender Dylan Batubinsika (29) was reportedly assaulted by a supporter on his way out of the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard after ASSE’s defeat to OGC Nice this weekend (1-3).It was 7:45pm when an individual approached the vehicle of the DR Congo international. Stopping to sign an autograph, according to Le Progrès, the player was then punched in the face after he lowered the window of his car to respond to the supporter. The aggressor then reportedly fled, and is still on the run. AS Saint-Étienne – when contacted by Actu Saint-Étienne last night – revealed that the player has not yet filed a legal complaint to the authorities. The player was not injured and on Monday evening, the identity of the assailant, who was reported to be under the influence, had still not been determined despite the presence of CCTV cameras.Les Verts currently sit second-bottom in Ligue 1 with 19 points ahead of two do-or-die fixtures against Le Havre next Sunday, and Montpellier the following weekend.GFFN | George Boxall
