AS Saint-Étienne are reportedly keen on Sarpsborg 08 FF’s Mamour Ndiaye (20), according to information from Foot Mercato.

With Les Verts’ management keen to bring in competition for their first-choice goalkeeper Gautier Larsonneur (29), they are said to have made the former Senegalese Under-20 international (four caps), winner of the 2023 U20 Africa Cup of Nations, their top target.

The interest appears to be mutual, as the Dakar-born player is said to be very keen on the idea of wearing Saint-Étienne’s colours and moving to France, where he would have the opportunity to experience Ligue 2 with an ambitious club. Although no agreement has yet been reached between the two clubs, talks are already underway.

Having moved to Norway in 2023, Ndiaye has since made 43 professional appearances for Sarpsborg – plus 11 with their reserve side – where he remains under contract until December 2027, keeping eight clean sheets and conceding 65 goals.
