Saint-Étienne hit four as first pre-season win lifts belief

Saint-Étienne hit four against Lausanne’s reserves to claim their first win of pre-season, a result that adds some confidence.

According to Le Progres, new Scottish coach Ian Cathro has repeatedly stressed the priority is to be ready on 8 August. Whether his side will be at the level in Sochaux in 10 days, the opener in a 34-match push towards Ligue 1, is still unclear.
