Benfica left-back Samuel Dahl was not included in Sweden’s 2026 World Cup squad, and is using the close-season to keep himself in shape. He was omitted from Graham Potter’s selection.

According to Glorioso 1904, the 23-year-old is spending his break in his home country after a demanding campaign, sharing holiday moments on social media with a recharging caption.

A gym in Vasteras posted a video of Dahl working out on Saturday, the day of the UEFA Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal, adding a tongue-in-cheek note about Benfica’s elimination.

Dahl led Benfica for minutes played this season, logging 4,597 across 53 appearances.

His matches split as 33 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 13 in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal, two in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça, yielding two goals and two assists. He is valued at €13 million.
