Santa Clara president outraged by Sporting refereeing scandal

Ricardo Pacheco, president of Santa Clara and administrator of the SAD, has already reacted to the elimination from the Portuguese Cup against Sporting – a match marked by a controversial penalty. “Today is one of the saddest days in Portuguese football,” he stated in a social media post.

Vasco Matos, coach of Santa Clara, also delivered harsh criticism of the refereeing: “Today is a dark day for Portuguese football. I am concerned, and many people are worried about what has been happening.”
