Santos allowed five members of Torcida Jovem, the club’s main organised supporters’ group, to meet coach Cuca and the squad at the training centre after Tuesday’s Copa Sudamericana draw with Recoleta. Neymar also attended.

According to Globo.com, the group voiced displeasure at the team’s display against the Paraguayan side’s reserves, and the draw left Santos bottom of their group with one point.

The discussion was described as calm and cordial, yet it underlined frustration with recent results and the team’s current approach. The visitors remained for more than an hour, watching the day’s training.

After the match, Torcida Jovem’s president, known as Jéh, posted a message calling for improved behaviour from Neymar. It followed an exchange with a supporter as he left the pitch after being called spoiled.

The squad are scheduled to train on Thursday afternoon and over the next two days before facing Fluminense on Sunday at 16:00 Brasília time, in the 12th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro at Vila Belmiro.
