According to Diario Do Peixe, the club had already banked R$ two million for entering the fifth phase, when they progressed past Coritiba, and a further R$ three million for making the last 16.

There will be a draw for the quarter-finals, with first legs scheduled for 26 or 27 August and second legs on two or three September.

Semi-finals are set for one and eight November, and the final is slated for six December. Santos have lifted the trophy once, in 2010 with Neymar. Semi-finalists receive R$ nine million, the runners-up R$ 34 million and the champions R$ 78 million.
