Santos have won the Troféu Ouro of the Programa de Excelência da Federação Paulista de Futebol for the ninth year running. According to Diario Do Peixe, the ceremony was held at Edifício Pelé, the FPF headquarters in São Paulo, on Tuesday 24.
Santos were represented by Márcia Mendes Fernandes, accounting coordinator, Nadja Fontes, HR coordinator, and André Mendes, institutional communications coordinator.
FPF vice-president Mauro Silva underlined the partnership with clubs and the importance of management in São Paulo football’s development. He thanked clubs for embracing a project to strengthen them off the pitch, said passion fuels the game but management sustains it, and credited joint work for growth.
He said the federation will continue working to strengthen clubs, which in turn strengthens competitions and football in the state, and stressed that progress depends on the commitment of those involved in the PEX.
The 10th edition distributed more than R$ 1 million to 12 affiliated clubs across Gold, Silver and Bronze categories. Payouts were R$ 30 thousand for Bronze, R$ 60 thousand for Silver and R$ 120 thousand for Gold.
The Programa de Excelência is an FPF incentive scheme marking a decade of commitment to improving club management. Clubs are assessed in areas including Gestão, Marketing and Torcida, with each competing only against itself.
This edition raised evaluation criteria, broadened the items analysed and set a higher bar, pushing clubs to professionalise and refine administrative processes.
