Santos beat Vasco da Gama 3-0 at São Januário, climbing from 17th to 14th in the Brasileirão as the hosts slipped to 19th.

Vasco nearly led in the 67th minute when José Luis Rodríguez struck the left post from Thiago Mendes' pass.

Gabriel Barbosa then broke the deadlock (68.), guiding Benjamin Rollheiser's headed lay-off into the bottom right.

Peixe doubled their advantage from a set piece as Willian Arão finished from the centre of the box (77.).
