Santos have confirmed the loan signing of midfielder Gabriel Menino until the end of the season. According to Diario Do Peixe, he joins from Atlético-MG and Santos will cover his wages.

The clubs effectively arranged a swap, with Galo completing a permanent deal for Victor Hugo, who had been on loan at Santos. Atlético-MG will pay a fee of 250,000 dollars to Santos and have allowed Menino to leave on loan.

Menino, 25, is from Morungaba in São Paulo state. He came through at Guarani before moving to Palmeiras, where he broke into the first team.

He played for Brazil at under-20 and under-23 level, earned a senior call-up in 2020, and won Olympic gold at Tokyo in 2021. For Palmeiras he made 241 appearances, scoring 17 goals with 18 assists, and collected major honours including Libertadores titles in 2020 and 2021, Copa do Brasil 2020, Recopa Sudamericana 2022, Brasileirão 2022 and 2023, plus four Paulistão crowns between 2020 and 2024.

At Atlético-MG he has one goal and two assists in 45 matches, and lifted the Mineiro in 2025.
