Santos sign Gabriel Menino from Atlético-MG on season-long loan with option to buy

Santos announced on Wednesday the signing of Gabriel Menino from Atlético-MG on a one-season loan running to 31 December.

According to Globo.com, the 25-year-old midfielder arrives to cover the departure of Victor Hugo, who was bought by Galo from Flamengo. Atlético-MG took the midfielder from Santos and, to ease completion of the deal, released Menino for the season.

Menino is Santos' second signing of the season and should be available to Juan Pablo Vojvoda for the meeting with Palmeiras in the second round of the Paulistão.

Before him, the Peixe announced Gabigol, who debuted at the weekend and scored in the win over Novorizontino.

The agreement includes a purchase option at the end of the loan.
