Santos councillors seek inquiry into Marcelo Teixeira | OneFootball

Santos councillors have filed for an internal inquiry and administrative measures against club president Marcelo Teixeira, alongside a renegotiation of the contract with NR Sports.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the request, signed by 17 councillors, was sent to the Deliberative Council board, which may decide whether to refer it to the club’s Inquiry and Investigation Committee.

The move centres on two clauses, the CT Meninos da Vila being pledged as collateral, and a term allowing the entire debt to be enforced if Teixeira is not re-elected in a vote scheduled for the second Sunday of December.

The document argues that, during the renegotiation with NR Sports, collateral over club-owned real estate was granted solely by the executive president, without Deliberative Council approval, in breach of articles 80 paragraph 1 and 88 of the club statute.

It also claims the re-election trigger that accelerates future instalments is unlawful and incompatible with Brazilian contract and corporate law.
