Santos dropped into the Brasileirão relegation zone as round 13 closed after Corinthians beat Vasco, removing Fernando Diniz's side from 17th. According to Globo.com, the shake-up left the Vila Belmiro club back among the bottom four.

Santos began the round 15th on 12 points, but Cruzeiro and Corinthians defeated Remo and Vasco respectively, while Cuca's team only drew with Bahia.
