Santos FC backs Purple August campaign with Santos City Hall

Santos FC, through its Women’s Commission, supported the City of Santos’ Purple August Campaign with a banner on the field from the city’s Secretariat for Women, Citizenship, Diversity and Human Rights, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Maria da Penha Law. Twenty women wore shirts bearing the phrase “Stop Violence Against Women” and represented this very important cause.

The initiative took place during the match against Athletico/PR, held on Sunday (09) at Vila Belmiro, for the Brazilian Championship. The goal was to raise public awareness about the importance of preventing and combating violence against women.
