Santos finished final preparations on Friday 18 at Paysandu's stadium in Belém ahead of facing Remo in the Campeonato Brasileiro at the Mangueirão on Saturday 19, kick-off 18:30 Brasília time.

Diario Do Peixe reports that Gabriel Brazão felt renewed pain in his left shoulder after the Atlético-MG match and has returned to Santos for assessment, and he is expected to undergo surgery. Willian Arão did not travel as he treats internal oblique abdominal pain.

Neymar and Álvaro Barreal remain in the treatment room and are also out. New arrivals Philippe Coutinho and Everton Cebolinha are unavailable, Coutinho is still building fitness before his debut and Cebolinha is suspended.

With those absences, the likely line-up to face Remo is Diógenes, Rodinei, Lucas Veríssimo, Luan Peres, Gonzalo Escobar, Gustavo Henrique, Christian Oliva or Arthur, Gabriel Bontempo, Rollheiser, Rony and Gabriel Barbosa.

Santos were knocked out by Atlético-MG in the Copa Sudamericana quarter-finals on Wednesday 16, losing 4-2 in normal time at the Arena MRV, then 3-1 on penalties after a 4-4 aggregate.

The league is now their only competition. They sit 10th with 35 points from 26 matches and are unbeaten in five rounds with four wins and one draw.

In that run they beat Vasco, Corinthians, Internacional and Cruzeiro, and drew with Mirassol. Cuca's side now seek to extend the sequence against Remo in Belém.
