Santos in talks to sign right-back Rodinei from Olympiacos | OneFootball

According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos have opened talks to sign right-back Rodinei from Olympiacos. He is under contract until 30 June 2027, but wants to end it early. If he is released, he would join the Peixe on a deal running until December next year.

Right-back has been a problem for the Alvinegro, with JP Chermont on loan at Coritiba and Mayke having terminated his contract.

First-choice Igor Vinicius is not fully fit. Gabriel Menino asked to be used permanently at right-back, but has suffered a sprain to his left knee.

Santos have even used Davizinho from the Sub-20 as an emergency option.

Talks for Rodinei are described as well advanced, and Santos would only pay his salary if a release in Greece is agreed.
