According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos have accrued around R$ 20 million in prize money across the Copa Sudamericana and Copa do Brasil. Cuca's side are in the quarter-finals of both and could add more if Atlético-MG advance in the Sudamericana or Palmeiras in the Copa do Brasil.
In the Sudamericana, the club have collected $2,225,000, roughly R$ 10.6 million. They received $300,000 for the group phase and $125,000 for their only group win, against Deportivo Cuenca of Ecuador.
Qualification for the play-off brought $500,000, the last 16 added $600,000 and a place in the quarter-finals is worth $700,000.
In the Copa do Brasil, Santos have earned R$ nine million. Entry at the fifth phase was worth R$ two million against Coritiba, eliminating Coritiba to reach the last 16 added R$ three million, and beating Remo to reach the quarter-finals secured a further R$ four million.
The Sudamericana awards $800,000 for the semi-finals, $2,500,000 to runners-up and $10 million to the champions. In the Copa do Brasil, the semi-final prize is R$ nine million, with R$ 34 million for the runners-up and R$ 78 million for the winners.
