According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos have opened talks with Mirassol over the signing of midfielder José Aldo, also known as Aldo Filho, after unsuccessful moves for other midfield targets this window.

A Palmeiras academy product, he has also played for Internacional, Ituano, Paysandu, Pelotas and Portugal’s Portimonense.
He made his Série A debut for Internacional in 2019, and recorded his most prolific spell at Ituano with six goals in Série B in 2024.
Across his professional career he has roughly 156 appearances and 14 goals, and can operate as a holding midfielder or in a more advanced role.
