Santos let a 2-0 lead slip to draw 2-2 with San Lorenzo, leaving Copa Sudamericana qualification in jeopardy. According to Diario Do Peixe, the capitulation prompted withering player ratings across the squad.
The defence bore the brunt. Adonis Frías was handed 1.0 after a miscue for the first goal, with Lucas Veríssimo and Igor Vinícius on 3.0. Emergency full back Barreal received 3.5 and goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão 4.0, criticised for a lack of authority.
Midfield momentum vanished after the interval. Willian Arão was marked 4.0 and Christian Oliva 4.5, described as energetic but imprecise. Teenager Rafael Gonzaga went unrated, as did debutant Samuel Pierri.
In attack, Gabriel Bontempo took 4.0 despite a first minute opener, while Gabigol earned 5.0 after assisting that strike and adding a free kick for the second, only to fade badly. Rollheiser top scored with 6.5 for controlling the first half before going off at half time. Lautaro Díaz received 0.0 and Rony 1.0.
Gustavo Henrique was rated 2.0 for an ineffective cameo. Miguelito drew 5.0 for his part in the first goal and neat combinations before being withdrawn while Santos still led. Coach Cuca was given 0.0, with his changes and continued backing of Lautaro condemned, and club figures Marcelo Teixeira and Alexandre Mattos were also heavily blamed.
