Santos are monitoring the market for further reinforcements, but there is no timetable for new arrivals. According to Globo.com, Cuca's squad has been bolstered by Rodinei, Arthur and Lima on financially favourable terms.
The football department are prioritising free agents or loan moves. Lima, out of Fluminense's plans for this season, joined with no transfer fee on a deal running to the end of the year.
Arthur also fits that policy as a free agent, and he wanted to play for Santos given his relationship with Neymar and his father. The pair helped complete the move by providing funds to clear the debt that led to the transfer ban, receiving advertising space on the club's shirt in return.
Arthur signed a short contract until December due to his high wage bracket and the need to assess his adaptation. The additions address immediate needs identified by Cuca's staff.
Right-back Rodinei agreed a longer deal, to December 2027, but still under a low-cost framework. His arrival was made possible after an amicable termination with Olympiacos of Greece, meaning no fee for Santos.
The board remain attentive to options that fit this financial reality and carry Cuca's approval. Left-back is viewed as the priority, along with centre-back and the attack, and there are currently no advanced negotiations.
