Santos set to sell JP Chermont to Sharjah, deal subject to medical | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Santos have lined up the sale of right-back JP Chermont, 20, to Sharjah FC of the United Arab Emirates, with the move set to be finalised after a medical.

The defender is on loan at Coritiba until the end of the Campeonato Brasileiro, but he has said goodbye to team-mates and is awaiting a positive outcome. He has made 17 appearances for the Paraná side.

The fee is around $3.45 million, roughly R$ 18 million. Coritiba are entitled to 10% under a showcase clause.

Santos urgently need funds to balance the books this season, with a wage bill of about R$ 30 million.

Chermont was promoted to Santos’ first team during the 2024 Série B campaign and kept his starting place through that season, then lost his spot the following year. He featured for the under-20s before joining Coritiba on loan.
