Copa Sul-Americana last 16 set, Santos draw Macará and possible all-Brazil quarter-final

The Copa Sul-Americana last 16 has been finalised, with Santos drawn against Ecuador’s Macará after clearing the playoffs.
According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos beat Universidad Central 4-1 away then 4-2 at Vila Belmiro to progress 8-3 on aggregate.
If they defeat Macará, Santos will meet the winner of Atlético-MG v Red Bull Bragantino in the quarter-finals, which would guarantee an all-Brazil tie. A potential semi-final could bring Tigre, Montevideo City Torque, Cienciano or Botafogo.
The opposite half of the draw features Recoleta v Boca Juniors, São Paulo v Bolívar, River Plate v Santa Fe and Olimpia v Vasco.
Brazil has six clubs in the last 16. São Paulo, Atlético-MG and Botafogo advanced as group winners, with Vasco and Red Bull Bragantino joining via the playoffs. Grêmio went out in the preliminary phase.
Santos are chasing a first Copa Sul-Americana crown under head coach Cuca while juggling the Brasileirão and the Copa do Brasil, where they face Remo in the last 16.
